For the second year in a row, the Houston Business Journal (HBJ) has selected Fair Marketing, Inc. as one of the Best Places to Work. The Houston-based web marketing company was chosen last year for the 10 to 100 employees category and earned a No. 2 spot. This year, more than 75 companies, including Fair Marketing, Inc., will receive honors at an awards ceremony from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., Friday, October 19 at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Houston, 2222 West Loop South, Houston.
“Being honored once is outstanding, but having a follow-up honor is even better,” said Roger Janik, Fair Marketing, Inc. president and principal. “We work hard to satisfy our clients, but we work equally as hard in maintaining a positive working environment where we can all thrive in our respective areas. Teamwork is something we take seriously. It is not a cliché with us, but rather a solid principle that we continually adhere to. Making sure employees are happy is key in making sure our clients are happy. Being honored multiple times is a reflection of this.
There are three additional categories where businesses will receive honors at the ceremony. These include Houston-based companies with 101 to 500 employees, Houston-based companies with 500 or more employees and non-Houston-based companies with more than 150 employees
HBJ selects honorees based on their achievement in balancing a stable and productive work setting that also projects a pleasurable atmosphere. HBJ honors companies where the happiness of employees is considered the key to success, whose employees want to come to work and where everybody knows your name.
In addition to the Best Places to Work awards, HBJ is presenting a new award that highlights the most spirited company at the event. The Spirit Award will go to the company that has the best look, has the most fun and cheers the loudest during the ceremony.
